Radio Engineer

​

A leading supplier of two-way radios in the Southwest, PCE Technology are looking for either an experienced Radio Systems Engineer, or someone who feels they’ve got what it takes to become one, to join us in delivering bespoke technical projects across a broad spectrum of customer applications. This is a varied role, and one that requires strong teamwork and communication skills to achieve the results required.

The successful candidate will support delivery of all aspects of our customers’ radio systems - from pre-sales specification through to long-term system maintenance - for both new and existing client installations.

​

Committed to supporting the team to resolve customer communication challenges, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and helping to grow the business.

​

Your role will involve:

  • Attending pre-installation site surveys, creating project documentation (including photographs and recommendations for equipment), physical installation and maintenance of new and existing client systems.

  • Hardware preparation, radio repairs, codeplug creation and programming.

  • Liaising with customers to understand needs; and with manufacturers to ensure those needs are best met.

  • Installation of equipment into vehicles.

 

The ideal candidate will be:

  • From a radio engineering, electronic engineering or vehicle installation background; or able to demonstrate a well-rounded aptitude in these areas.

  • Adaptable and willing to learn.

  • Be focused on developing the right solutions to ensure the needs of our customers are always met.

  • A good communicator, able to work effectively as part of a small team.

  • Computer literate.

  • Attentive to detail and driven by a desire to deliver exceptional quality in your work.

  • Effective in customer-facing situations.

  • Well organised and capable of handling multiple projects.

  • Proactive and hands on.

  • Flexible to take on different tasks as and when required.

  • Reliable and punctual with strong attendance and work ethic.

  • Ambitious and looking for a long-term career with a growing company.

  • Hold a full clean driving licence

Working week

Monday - Thursday, 09:00 - 17:00, finishing at 16:30 on a Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. Flexitime is possible and occasionally early starts or late finishes may be unavoidable.

Total hours per week: 37-hour week.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our highly skilled small team and can offer a great full-time opportunity for a qualified/experienced Radio Systems Engineer (or for someone who has the talent and mind-set to become one), based in the Southwest.

Pay: £24,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
